-To undertake splicing and net making (construction and repair).
-To assist in the smooth operation of the business by completing all orders and associated paperwork in a timely manner.
-Keep the workplace and workshop gear in a clean and safe condition.
-Perform and promote safe work practices.
-Friendly and helpful first point of contact for customers.
-Assist with stock takes and general store duties as and when required.
-To gain knowledge in the construction of, the applications, and the dangers of ropes (wire and synthetic).
-To proactively make suggestions for growing the business and improving efficiency.
-To seek opportunities to develop own technical knowledge and skills with respect to both net making and rigging.
-Assist other staff as required.
-Work overtime as required.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
-Knowledge of the fishing industry is preferred
-Forklift license desirable
-Fit and able to carry out physically demanding work
-Open to undertaking drug testing, as per our policy
-Able to work as part of a team
-Flexible and adaptable to workload peaks.
